David Davis coordinates the Technology & Learning Connections (TLC) Unit of the Problem Solving/Response to Intervention (PS/RtI) Project. The TLC Team provides statewide and regional support for the implementation of assistive technology, accessible instructional materials, instructional technology, universal design for learning, and virtual instruction/assessment within a multi-tiered system of supports. As part of Florida’s PS/RtI Project, the TLC Team works with FLDOE bureaus, discretionary projects, school districts, and schools to affect systemic change and school reform within a problem solving model.
David came to the PS/RtI Project from the Florida Diagnostic & Learning Resources System (FDLRS), where he was the manager of the FDLRS/TECH Center. Prior experience includes working as a Technology Specialist with the FDLRS Network, a Certified Behavior Analyst with the State of Florida, an Academic Diagnostician with a Diagnosis & Evaluation Team, and a Music Therapist. Applied interests include change theory, educational technology, assistive/performance technology, Universal Design for Learning, digital learning environments, and virtual/augmented learning spaces.
