Gary Pearcy, MS
Technology Coordinator, Region 2
Gary Pearcy is part of the Technology & Learning Connections (TLC) Team as a regional technology coordinator (Region 2). The TLC Team is a part of Florida’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) through the Problem Solving/Response to Intervention Project at the University of South Florida. The TLC Team provides guidelines and resources to support the implementation of Assistive Technology (AT), Accessible Educational Materials (AEM), and Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
Gary’s primary focus of interest is student engagement for all students with a focus on STEM and accessibility. Gary has shared strategies and resources at various conferences including presentations, exhibits, and hands-on exploration labs focused on assistive and UDL technologies.
Gary received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Science in Special Education from Florida International University. Prior to joining the TLC Team, Gary worked as a teacher and administrator at a center school for students with severe disabilities and as an instructor for pre-service ESE teachers at Barry University through Central Florida Community College.
