RtI and SLD Eligibility – Essential Components

Resources / Professional Learning Modules / RtI and SLD Eligibility – Essential Components

The Florida Problem Solving/Response to Intervention Project, along with a statewide workgroup, created this online module to provide access to information and resources to facilitate policies, practices, and decision making consistent with the RtI process that is part of a comprehensive evaluation for Specific Learning Disability (SLD) eligibility. Sections contain pertinent information for eligibility evaluation and decision-making and address Florida’s four-pronged eligibility criteria. Information includes rules and processes required, practical considerations and resources, and examples of data sources and decision-making criteria. A decision-tree and two case studies help illustrate application for schools.
